Insurance

Rates are based on type and duration of service:

**PLEASE NOTE: Coaching sessions are private pay and are not covered by insurance. These are not special prices for counseling but instead are fees for individual coaching sessions which differ from counseling.
Marriage counseling is also not covered by insurance. Couples must select family counseling (as this is covered under health insurance) or individual counseling (if the identified client has a mental health issue that is effecting the marital relationship).
You are required to verify your insurance prior to your appointment. If insurance and co-pay are not verified, you will be required to pay for the session out of pocket.

Accepted Methods of Payment:

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER prior to your appointment to determine your co-pay amount and/or deductible amount to be fulfilled. It is best to know this upfront as opposed to being billed for this at a later date and possibly risking collections.
Payment is required prior to treatment. Accepted methods of payment outside of insurance include cash, credit cards, or FSA/HSA.
Any returned debit payments will result in a service charge fee of $35 that is due prior to scheduling your next appointment.

Insurance:

NewBeginnings | FreshStart Counseling Group is an authorized provider for the BCBSM family (BCBSM, BCN, BCC).
Please verify insurance prior to your appointment. Depending upon your particular health care plan, prior authorization may be required before your initial appointment takes place. Clients must contact their health care provider to determine if mental health services are covered by their policy.

Schedule and Cancel Appointments:

You will receive a SMS appointment reminder 24-hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.
You are able to schedule appointments through the office and online (just click the appointments tab).
In the event you need to cancel a session, please be certain to do so at leasts 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations provided under 24-hour notification will be assessed 50% of the cost of the session. No-shows result in being charged the full cost of the session. All payments are to be paid in full at the time of the service.
